Meet Bella

This blog is part one of a series of blogs aimed at taking an in depth look at each of our kids. We decided to put together some questions, some funny and some serious, that would give you an inside look at our children. Part one will be an interview with Bella, also known as Bella-Boo or Sissy. Bella is the caretaker of our children, the guardian, the “only I can talk to my brother that way” one. She is passionate, strong willed and sometimes fiery. She is very artistic and loves to draw pictures or little notes for all the people in our family. When she sets her mind to something she will not rest until it’s done. A while back Kyle’s Grandmother Nancy gave Bella a Rubik’s Cube and she has been obsessed with solving it ever since. Not long after she got it Kyle’s Aunt and Uncle were in town and their son Parker (who is 13) can solve a Rubik’s Cube in less than a minute. Bella was amazed and this increased her determination even more. She would work on it on the way to school in the morning, on the way home from school, her and Micah would look up videos on Youtube with tutorials on how to solve it. One night after she had gotten one side within one block of being the same color she was so excited thinking that if she could get that last block matched up that the whole cube would be solved. After we broke the news to her that one side could be solved without the whole cube being solved she got so upset, mad and crying thinking that she will never get it. But knowing her determination she will get the best of that Rubik’s Cube one day.

Me: What is your favorite color?

Bella: My favorite color is blue.

Me: What is your favorite TV show or movie?

Bella: Ninja Turtles

Me: What about favorite TV show?

Bella: Flash (funny thing is Kyle used to watch this show on Netflix as well lol)

Me: What is your favorite food?

Bella: Cottage cheese...actually carrots, carrots is my favorite food.

Me: Really? If I said you could have anything in the world to eat right now what would you eat?

Bella: Carrots

Me: Chicken Nuggets?

Bella: Nope

Me: With ranch?

Bella: nope

Me: Doughnuts?

Bella: nope

Me: It would be carrots?

Bella: yep

Me: Whatever!

 

Me: What is your favorite animal?

Bella: A kitty cat. No wait, a dog.

Me: What is your favorite song?

Bella: You know that one that says I know every curve like the back of your head (I’m assuming she means “Back Road” by Sam Hunt).

Me: What is your favorite book?

Bella: My favorite book is Power Rangers….no it’s Ninja Turtles, I was joking.

Me: Who is your best friend?

Bella: Mallory

Me: What is your favorite sport?

Bella: hmm soccer!

Me: What is your favorite thing to do outside?

Bella: Play soccer

Me: What is your favorite drink?

Bella: apple juice

Me: What is your favorite holiday?

Bella: Valentine’s Day

Me: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Bella: I want to be a surveillance camera person

Me: A surveillance camera person?

Bella: Yeah like in a store.

Me: Of all the things you are learning in school, what do you think will be the most useful when you are an adult?

Bella: Math

Me: How do you think you’ll use Math?

Bella: Whenever I want to split something up I’ll have to like count it or add it or split it.

Me: If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?

Bella: I would sneak and steal some paper and pencils and crayons and then write I love you to all the people I love and put it on their doors.

Me: What is the hardest thing about being a kid?

Bella: That you have to watch out for your baby brother.

Me: If you could choose a new name for yourself, what would it be, and why?

Bella: Bell

Me: If you could go back in time and talk to yourself at Jaxon’s age, what would you say?

Bella: I would say that I love my mom and my dad very much.

Me: What do you like best about Micah?

Bella: That he’s funny and whenever I’m sad he makes me laugh.

Me: What about Jaxon?

Bella: That he makes imaginary things and makes us play transformers and it’s kinda fun and we act like we change into people and fight.
